Mathi Vindaloo (Sardine Vindaloo)
Super yummy Kerala style Mathi vindaloo curry (Sardine Vindalooo) by Shini Kaviraj (Check Homemade yummies channel to watch more)
Ingredients
- Mathi (Sardine) - 1/2 Kg
- Fro Grinding
- Onion - 1/4 cup
- garlic - 1/4 cup
- Ginger - 1 piece
- kashmiri Chili or red chili - 4 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
- Chili powder - 2 tea spoon
- Fneugreek - 1/4 tea spoon
- mustard seed - 1/4 tea spoon
- cumin seed - 2 pinch
- vinegar - 3 table spoon
- salt - as required
- Watar - As required
- For Gravy
- Onion - 1 cup (chopped)
- Tomato - 1 cup (chopped)
- curry leaves - few
- Coconut oil - As required
Instructions
- Add all the Grinding ingredients into a grinder / food processor and grind them into a fine paste. (Add water if required)
- Heat coconut oil in a pan and add chopped onion and saute well until it turns to brown color
- Add curry leaves and tomato and saute again
- Add ground paste into this and saute until oil separates.
- Add little water and let it boil
- Add cleaned fish into this and cook in low flame, Add curry leaves for garnishing.
